Creating Custom Mould

According to the measurements, we create a mould often made from wood, metal or plastic. Every detail is important and we take extra care in creating the perfect mould to the foot.

Creating Custom Patterns

Each pair of our custom shoes requires many elements to be taken into consideration such as:

  • Foot shape
  • What style of shoes you prefer
  • Your support requirements
  • What technique will be used
  • Material of the shoe
  • And many more details ….

Types Of Leather / Uppers

There are many different types of leather that you can choose and be creative. Just to number some of the types:

  • Yearling
  • Baby Calf
  • Kangaroo
  • Snake
  • Barramundi
  • And more ….

You can choose from : Full Grain, Foiled, Italian, French, English, American and many more ….

Lasting The Upper

The leather insoles are trimmed to the feather edge of the last to seamlessly blend the upper to the sole of the shoe. The uppers are then hand-crafted and then stretched to take the form of the last. A firm leather heel counter and toe-puff are inserted to reinforce the upper, giving them greater structural integrity and support.

Fit Test

This is a very important step of the process as we ensure that everything is done correctly and that pattern fits perfectly. This process involves many different methods and everything is hand checked.

Soling And Finishing

We don’t compromise on quality and we always use top quality of leather and leather heel blocks. Heels are attached using buttress nails ensuring they will stay for a long time.
The shoes are then hand finished using a variety of polishes, dyes and techniques depending on the desired effect.

Final Fitting

You will need to come to our North Adelaide shop and try your custom made shoes just to make sure that the fit is perfect. If any adjustments need to be made we will do it in the same time you are here.
